Supplies will be available for sale. Programs can be custom designed to meet your company’s needs. METALLIC WALL FINISH WORKSHOP



Today’s decorative wall finishes include a wide range of metallic looks. From soft, polished, matte, textured and Urbanized.
This full day program will introduce you to a wide range of metallic paints, plasters, and specialty products to produce in-demand metallic finishes for residential and commercial spaces. This program will cover types of metallic products, wall preparation, tools and troweling techniques.
Applicators will produce 8 metallic finish techniques with fine paint and plastering products provided by: Novacolor, Forli, Italy; Texturline, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Metropolis, San Mauro Pascoli, Italy.
The course fee includes: Course workbook with instruction, 210mm stainless steel trowel, 8 take home application boards, lunch and beverages.

Introduction to the Art of Venetian Plaster



This program will provide you with basic easy to follow step by step application of acrylic Venetian plaster, a modern version of the classic lime and mineral based Italian plaster.
This full day program will cover proper wall preparation, color selection, tools, troweling techniques, polishing/burnishing, and waxes.
Applicators will produce 6 versions of Venetian plaster utilizing fine plastering products provided by: Novacolor, Forli, Italy; Metropolis, San Mauro Pascoli, Italy; and Texturline, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The course fee includes: Course workbook with instruction, one set of 5 blue steel spatulas, CO ME Italian plaster trowel, 6 take home application boards, lunch and beverages

Lime and Mineral Italian Plaster Workshop

This three day program is designed for the decorative finish contractor. Troweling experience is required. This program is an extensive look into the history, manufacturing, and application of specialty mineral and lime based Italian Plasters.
Instruction includes wall preparation, tools, tinting, techniques, burnishing/polishing, and waxes/soap sealers.
Applicators will produce 14 techniques with fine imported Italian Plaster provided by: Intonaco, Venice, Italy; and Novacolor, Forli ,Italy. Applicators will be introduced to these plasters: Fine Marmorino/Veneziano, Carrara Marmorino, Lucido/Mirror, Tadelakt (a Moroccan plaster), Intonachino, Travertino, Marmorino KS, and Lime Paint.
The course fee includes: Course workbook with instruction, CO Me Venetian trowel, Co Me flat blade, 14 application techniques, lunch and beverages.

Class Policies:

Registration closes 7-days prior to scheduled date of each class to allow for prep work of materials.
Payment:
Due to the limited amount of space and class preparation time, all classes must be paid in full upon registration of the class.

Cancellation:
A 10-day notice is required to receive a full refund. Students giving notification less than 10-days will be given full school credit for the amount of the course usable on future courses. Should MIFF cancel a class due to inclement weather, minimal students, instructor illness or emergency, a full refund will be issued. Students will also have the choice of being placed in the next available course.
Corporate Rates: Ask about our discounts for large groups and corporate outings.
Children: We love them dearly, but due to safety reasons, no children are allowed in the classroom/studio.
Supplies: Unless noted, supplies will be provided, but are not to take home. However, supplies used in the courses are available for purchase.
Other: All course times listed are approximate and can vary due to dry time and climate conditions.
